Swift Group Limited, the UK’s leading manufacturer of touring caravans, is pleased to announce that after a period of
testing, all 2010 Swift and Sterling caravans have been confirmed to meet the NCC EN1645-1 Thermal Insulation &
Heating – Grade III classification.
Grade III classification is the highest standard for both insulation and heating, such that the interior of the caravan
can be kept at +20°C when the external temperature is -15°C.
The cold chamber tests were conducted at The Cambridge Refrigeration Centre, one of the UK’s leading refrigeration
test centres throughout the 2009/10 season. Despite these tests only being carried out recently, the actual body
construction and insulation used in Swift caravans has remained consistent for several years. The test results offer
further confirmation of the already outstanding build quality and high specification of Swift Group caravans.
Nick Page, Commercial Director of Swift Group said, “All our products go through the most rigorous testing. With
proven construction and the best insulation Swift really do offer the best overall touring caravan package and value
for money in the UK.”
Grade III classification confirms that all 2010 Swift Charisma, Challenger & Conqueror, Sterling Europa, Eccles & Elite
caravans are capable of maintaining a comfortable internal temperature, even down to an external temperature of
-15°C, to provide four season comfort.
Note: The classification refers to internal temperatures, owners should remember that external water tanks and
pipes can freeze at extremely low temperatures.
